Stathis Arapostathis is Associate Professor in the History of Science and Technology. He completed his DPhil in History of Technology in the Faculty of Modern History, University of Oxford. He worked in several national and
international research projects in Greece, UK and USA. With Graeme Gooday he authored the award winning book Patently Contestable: Electrical Technologies and Inventor Identities on Trial in Britain (MIT Press, 2013). He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals in the fields of History of Technology; History of Science; Science, Technology and Society; Transition Studies. The fields of his expertise are: History and politics of intellectual property in the making of modern techno-sciences; history and politics of technological and knowledge infrastructures; environment and society; Sustainability Transitions; History and sociology of expertise; Responsible research and innovation.
