He is Professor Emeritus of Logic at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He received his BA in Mathematics from NKUA in 1975 and his PhD in Mathematical Logic from the University of Manchester in 1980. He is (co-)author of 40 scientific articles, of which 18 have been published in international refereed journals, while the rest have been published in conference proceedings and collective volumes, in Greek and English. He has reviewed approximately 300 papers for international journals and conference proceedings, has written over 120 reviews of articles and books for the journals Mathematical Reviews, Journal of Symbolic Logic and Metascience and has been co-editor of conference proceedings published by Cambridge University Press, Springer and CSLI Publications, as well as by the Philosophy Documentation Center. He is the editorial director of the journal Neusis and a member of the editorial board of the journal Hellenic Philosophical Review.
